China has tested a hydrogen fuel cell drone

Experts of the aviation industry of the Middle Kingdom conducted a successful test of an unmanned aerial vehicle that received the LQ-H index. A feature of this drone was the presence on board of the power plant of a new type – hydrogen cells.

The creators of the new drone are a commercial structure that tested its offspring at one of the airports in central China. The device with hydrogen fuel cells was also equipped with an additional battery, which was a spare power source.

It is known that the 6-meter (wingspan) drone is made of various composites, which are used mainly to reduce the weight of the device. Also, a considerable part of the design, according to the developers, was printed on 3 D- printers.
