The political chessboard on the shoulders of the people

“Baal Balode She Gihidi Vanjo” (Baal children take things away).

When I heard this sound in my childhood, I used to run in the direction from where it was coming from. There was a tradition that before sunset, someone in the neighborhood used to share bread with sugar and coffee, it was considered a blessing.

As they grew up, these voices gradually faded away, but thank goodness for our politicians, they have kept this tradition alive. There are still noises, sometimes the coffee of making ‘New Pakistan’ is distributed, while the contenders for the best administrative affairs are seen sharing chopris and some are sharing the words of ‘Zinda Hai Bhutto Zinda Hai’. The people, in their eagerness to eat sweets, rush to the same direction from where the invitation to be fed sweets comes.
For 75 years, the people’s representatives who have been dying to fight for power have been playing the game of personal interests by crushing the people in the lure of coffees and bribes. This greed is being marketed very cleverly with the tag of public interest. The question is that whoever won the game of chess in these seventy five years, did it reduce the problems of the people? Basic needs, including two meals a day with dignity, affordable and quality education, basic health facilities were delivered to the masses? Of course the answer is no. And the reason for this is also shared among its own crowd by wrapping it in a wrapper of compulsion. If no one was allowed to complete the term, then the cries of bad performance of the previous governments during the reign of someone did not stop and someone put all the debris on the establishment, even though they were the ones who kissed the feet of the same establishment when it was brought.

Those who decorate the chess board on the shoulders of the people are engrossed in their own game, no one realizes that flour has become scarce in the agricultural country and no one cares about the price of flour and dal. It is becoming more and more difficult for the people. This game is so delicious that the intoxicated players forget the Gulshi Kolhi of Mirpurkhas. The same Gulshi who went to buy cheap flour to satisfy the hunger of children, who got five kilos of flour but in return was taken away. Children are orphaned, but what does it matter? The game is still on. There is a fire of ego and stubbornness in which someone is adding fuel every day.

Assemblies of two major provinces have been dissolved, a dummy setup has been installed in the center without opposition where the recruitment of ministerial advisers is going on day by day. On the one hand, PDM claims that it wants to solve the political crisis together, but Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf is not ready. Now when the PTI got its supporters, the resignations kept in the Speaker’s drawer for ten months were suddenly accepted and the members were immediately de-notified. He did not mince words, nor did he show any principle of honesty in his parliamentary positions.

On the one hand, aid is being sought from friendly countries and on the other, there are echoes of re-elections in the dissolved assemblies. While we are told that resources are indispensable for elections. Then the question arises that when the economic conditions are not favorable, where will the money come from to hold elections in three to four hundred constituencies? But the mourning of the empty treasury continues in front of the people. This uncertainty has started to break even the rotten bones of the economic structure.

Downfall in the stock exchange is a downfall, the dollar is not coming, the capitalist is determined to run away, the money in the State Bank is reducing to zero. Educated youths are leaving the country and looking for jobs abroad, the loss in exports is a loss, but the tussle that increases the political tension is not missed.

On the other hand, “To To, Main Main” has also been started for the setup of supervisors in the provinces deprived of assemblies. Everyone has to bring their servant, to see whether he is qualified for the chief ministership or not. Because some of the names given by both sides are legally and some are morally guilty. While the interesting thing is that the party which is in power takes arbitrary decisions by using the institutions and in this case too, the hair seems to be entering the D of the Election Commission by crossing the parliamentary committees. Imran Khan has already tagged Election Commission as a corrupt institution. Here also the situation does not seem to be improving, but after the deployment, it is ready to roll again.

There is fog everywhere, there is no way to end this crisis. PDM is not ready to go to the general elections, although after seeing the results of the local elections in Sindh, this decision may be acceptable to some extent to the major ally People’s Party, but the attitude is still cold there. Not a single lowly politician is willing to step forward and resolve these issues, but everyone is eager to contribute to the confusion. In all these conflicts, in which direction the country is going, what is the state of misery of the people, to what extent the image of a nuclear power is becoming negative, he neither cares nor realizes it. The slogans of survival of the country and improvement of the people are being heard.

Implementation of these slogans is a madman’s dream, but the people are still following their own elites. We are no less than anyone else in using the power of our vote on politicians’ narratives to turn them into evil elephants. Then the tricksters are wrapping up their games and wrapping up their turns. The servants of the nation have become the rulers of the nation and we are engrossed in the spectacle. But who are we to choose our own servants? It is said that there is democracy here, but in fact this lido is also confined in the “sacred golden foil” of those who make and overthrow governments, which we are not allowed to break even close to.

The scenes of open rigging in local body elections in Karachi have dispelled the illusion that the people are stopping in the name of the representative. Here the law of ‘whose stick is the buffalo’ is in force. Then how is this spectacle? How is this crisis? Our elders got this homeland by making sacrifices and entrusted it to us with the belief that we will protect it, give it honor and stability. But what did we do, we are making consciousness the defeat and madness the victory criteria by responding to the narratives of those who weakened it by becoming facilitators.

The game of chess is going on on the chessboard decorated with people’s emotions, obsessions and unconsciousness. This game is of the mind and players will surround, wrap and push hard to defeat the king. Even if they lose, the player will win and the loss will be the fate of the clumsy one who bowed his shoulder to the brave players to play this game of power. Then there will be neither coffees nor sweets, whose greed has been chanting long live for seventy five years.
