A brave man who swam home for 27 hours after the tsunami

A man lost his life after a tsunami and swam for 27 hours. Seeing his courage, experts have given him the title of Aquaman.

Lisala Fola, 57, was living on Ataca Island with only 60 people after a volcanic eruption on Tonga Island. On Saturday night, Tonga Honga High Pai volcano erupted lava, affecting a population of over 100,000. And three people were killed.

Lisala was painting at home when her brother reported the tsunami. But after a while, their house was flooded, after which they climbed a tree, but as they descended, a big wave carried them away. The waves kept hitting them from left to right. It is clear that they already have a hard time walking.

Now they dared and tried to swim. They even swam for 27 hours straight, traveling seven and a half kilometers to another large island, Tonga Island. Then the story of their determination was posted on Facebook and reached all over the world.

The man’s island of Atatas was 8 km from the island of Nokulova, the capital of Tonga, which was completely destroyed by the operation.
