The flight crew asked passengers to help in this emergency. Fortunately, Dr. Ayesha Khatib, a professor at the University of Toronto, was on board.
Dr. Ayesha Khatib made the delivery with the help of a nurse on board the plane.
Both the newborn and the mother are well. The mother named her newborn daughter after Dr. Ayesha Khatib “Miracle Ayesha” meaning Ayesha’s Miracle.
