Djokovic was taken into custody over a visa issue

Tennis player Novak Djokovic has been arrested in Australia after his visa was revoked.

According to British media, Djokovic has challenged the decision of Australia to revoke his visa. Djokovic was detained pending a decision on his application for deportation and visa revocation from Australia.

According to foreign media, Novak Djokovic had approached the court against the decision of the Australian Border Force to revoke his visa and a few days ago the court had allowed him to enter Australia.
Yesterday, the Australian government again revoked the visa of Serbian tennis star Djokovic, after which his lawyers filed a restraining order in the court against the visa revocation. The local court has sent the case to the federal court after hearing. The hearing will be held tomorrow.

Djokovic’s visa was revoked when he arrived in Melbourne last week for failing to meet the Corona vaccine requirements. Djokovic arrived in Australia to participate in the Australian Open tennis tournament.
