Successful experiments of Chinese medicine in Pakistan

Medical trials of traditional Chinese medicine ‘Jinhua Qinggan Granules’ in the treatment of Covid 19 under the International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS), Karachi University have been successfully completed.

According to the details, Dr. Panjuani Center for Molecular Medicine and Drug Research (PCMD) under the Center for Bioavailability Valence Studies and Clinical Research (CBSCR) of Karachi University The results of the successful clinical trials of Jinhua Kinjan Granules will be announced on Monday morning, January 17, 2022 at a ceremony at the International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS), Karachi University.

Provincial Minister for Health and Population Welfare Sindh Dr. Azra Fazal Pechoho will announce the results.
The trials of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Pakistan were started last year in collaboration with Indus Hospital.

This was stated by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Chaudhry, Head, ICCBS Karachi University and Coordinator General Cosmetics, while addressing a meeting of Clinical Research Specialists at Dr. Panjwani Center here today.

He said that the Xinhua Kinjan granules drug was developed by Joshicheng Pharmaceutical Company which was used in China to treat patients with Covid 19 while the phytochemistry of this drug was done at HEJ Research Institute of Chemistry, University of Karachi.

He said that the results of these clinical trials would be formally announced on Monday, January 17, 2022 in collaboration with ICCBS, COMSTEC and Ministry of Health and Population, Sindh and several Chinese companies.

Dr. Azra Fazal Pechoho, Prof. Dr. Ata-ur-Rehman (FRS), Shaykh-ul-Jamia Karachi, Prof. Dr. Khalid Mahmood Iraqi, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Chaudhry, Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Nang Rong, Pakistan’s Ambassador to China Moinul Haq, Center for Prof. Dr. Raza Shah, in-charge of Bio-Equivalence and Central Researcher of this research, Prof. Dr. Farzana Shaheen, Acting Director, International Center, University of Karachi, Dr. Yu Weming, Chinese Scholar and other Chinese experts will also speak.

It should be noted that these medical trials were regularly registered at the international level in which 402 volunteers who were suffering from Covid 19 participated.

Patients with colds, flu and cough are given Genuine Kinjan Granules three times a day, after each meal, dissolved in boiled water. Each dose of this medicine contains only 5 grams while this treatment is continued for a maximum of 10 days.

During the medical trials in Karachi, 150 volunteers were given genuine Jinhua Kinjan Granules medicine, 150 were given fake medicine (placebo) and 102 volunteers were kept under observation without any medicine.

Details of the same trials will be presented to the media at a press conference on Monday.
