Women’s Cricket World Cup Sedrah Iqbal was injured and left the camp

Veteran spinner Sedrah Iqbal has been ruled out of the camp due to a fractured finger.

The difficulties of Pakistan women’s cricket team for ICC Women’s World Cup 2022 began to increase. Due to a fracture, she was out of the camp. Sedrah Iqbal had a fractured finger in her left hand, due to which she will not be able to bowl for three to four weeks.

It is to be noted that 2 key players have already withdrawn from the camp which will continue till January 19 at Hanif Mohammad High-Performance Center of National Stadium. Unable to join the camp, 33 out of the 36 cricketers invited to the camp are there to showcase their talents.
On the other hand, a triangular series consisting of 7 matches has started in the camp. The ICC Women’s World Cup 2022 is being held in New Zealand from March 4 to April 3. The national women’s cricket team for the Women’s World Cup will be announced on January 25. Selector Urooj Mumtaz will be replaced by Asmavia Iqbal along with her assistants Saleem Jaffer and Tawfiq Omar.

Arshad Khan is taking charge of the camp due to the quarantine of Australian head coach David Hamp in England.
