Fake casting director arrested for harassing actresses

Police have arrested a fake casting director who was trying to seduce actresses and sexually assault them.

According to the Times of India, Mumbai Police, acting on a complaint lodged by a Kolkata-based actress, arrested a fake casting director. The 24-year-old accused claims to have acted in Bengali films.

Police say that the accused has been identified as Om Prakash Tiwari, Om Prakash has worked in a production house and that is why the accused knows the casting process for the actors, the accused had announced on social media. He has his own production house in Mumbai.
Om Prakash Tiwari was arrested by the Mumbai Police Cyber ​​Cell from Tatwala in the western state of Maharashtra on Saturday night.

The victim said in her statement to the police that the accused had started blackmailing her for refusing sexual desire.

According to police, the actress had personally contacted Om Prakash after the announcement of opening a production house on social media. The fake casting director asked for nasty pictures to get the actress to work in the web series and later blackmailed the actress from them.

Senior Inspector Dhanan J. Lai Gad of Malad Police Station said that the accused must have worked in a production house but he did not have any production house of his own.
