Former Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad has been admitted to hospital. Mahathir Mohamad will undergo electromedical surgery.
According to the British News Agency, Mahathir Mohamad will undergo an electromedical procedure at the National Heart Institute in Kuala Lumpur.
Mahathir Mohamad, 96, is a heart patient. He was also hospitalized for a week in December for a medical examination. Mahathir Mohamad’s first heart bypass was in 1989 and his second in 2007.
Mahathir Mohamad has twice been the Prime Minister of Malaysia. He is the first long-serving Malaysian prime minister. He first took office in 1981 and retired 22 years later in 2003.
