Russia and China will jointly build a station on the moon

China’s Space Research Organization (CNSA) plans to build a joint space base on the moon in cooperation with Russia.

The space station, also known as the International Lunar Research Station (ILRS), will be the most complex and sophisticated project in human history on the moon that will be built near the moon’s south pole by 2027.

It should be noted that since the beginning of the new space race in the 21st century, cooperation and collaboration between Russia and China has been steadily increasing.
China has already announced that it will land its first astronaut on the moon by 2030.

The space station plan is different because all this work will be done by automated robots, with the help of 3D printing.

Under the agreement between Russia and China, the two countries will work on powerful rockets as well as structures that can easily withstand the dangerous rays coming from the sun.

In this regard, China’s spaceflight is expected to begin in 2024, with devices such as robots, rovers (wheeled vehicles) and 3D printers delivered to the moon, using the soil and rocks there, to begin building the base. Will

Earlier, the project was supposed to be completed by 2035, but the partnership between China and Russia has raised hopes that it will be completed soon.

This growing cooperation between Russia and China is being viewed with concern in US circles as it will be the first major global project on the moon in which the US has no involvement. It is feared that this could affect the legitimacy of the United States in space research.

Not only that, but to build a base on the moon, existing technologies must be significantly improved, which could be a threat to American integrity in the years to come.
