At the request of the opposition, a report based on the details of Prime Minister Imran Khan’s foreign visits during his three years was presented in the Upper House.
According to the report presented in the Senate, Prime Minister Imran Khan made three foreign trips in the year 2018. These foreign trips cost more than 45.615 million rupees. The Prime Minister visited the United Arab Emirates, China and Malaysia in 2018.
According to the report, in the year 2019, the Prime Minister paid 16 foreign visits, at a cost of 116.91 million. After that, the Prime Minister paid 4 foreign visits in the year 2020 and these trips cost more than 13.6 million 37 thousand.
According to the details presented in the Senate, Prime Minister Imran Khan paid five foreign visits in the year 2021. These foreign trips of the Prime Minister cost more than Rs. 276.2 million.
According to the report, the Prime Minister has visited 47 foreign countries since taking oath. The total expenditure on foreign tours was more than 203.767 million.
It may be recalled that the opposition in the Senate had walked out for not providing details of the Prime Minister’s visit to the House. Senator Mushtaq Ahmed of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan said that it should be mentioned how many countries the Prime Minister has visited so far in his tenure, who went on tours with the Prime Minister in what capacity.
Mushtaq Ahmad Khan said that what are the benefits of spending crores during foreign tours, in what capacity dozens of people went with him during the tour of Saudi Arabia.
