China sends a new message to India by holding a New Year’s Eve celebration in the disputed region.
On New Year’s Day, Chinese state media released a video showing People’s Liberation Army (PLA) personnel waving a large Chinese flag and armed military personnel singing the national anthem in the disputed Glawan Valley.
The video, released on New Year’s Eve, also shows a mountain with the words “Never give up an inch of land” in Chinese.
After the video released by China, on social media, Indians expressed their anger against China and Modi government, while Indian media also saw the video of People’s Liberation Army.
It may be recalled that the Ladakh border dispute between China and India has been going on for many years which was intensified after the clash between Indian and Chinese troops in June 2020 in the Gulwan valley of eastern Ladakh. Four Chinese and at least 20 Indian soldiers were killed in the clashes.
After the clashes, Chinese forces seized several areas of Indian control, including key locations such as the Gluan Valley, Despang and Hot Springs.
Chinese media has also released various videos in the past in which Indian army personnel and officers have been seen making arrests.
