Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s film Veer and Surya Vanshi’s producer Vijay Galani have lost their lives to cancer.
According to Indian media reports, Vijay Galani was suffering from leukemia and had been staying in London for the last several months for treatment.
The family has confirmed that Vijay Galani passed away on Wednesday night. Doctors have stated that the cause of his death was organ failure.
Leading figures in the Bollywood industry have lamented the demise of the producer. TP Agarwal, president of the Indian Motion Picture Association, said the vacuum created by his departure would never be filled.
TP Agarwal said that Galani had a successful operation a few days ago, after which his health was improving but then the situation changed abruptly.
Vijay Galani was one of the most successful producers in Bollywood. He produced several films during his career, most notably Salman Khan’s Surya Vanshi (1992) and Veer (2010).
