Players who do not join PSL are allowed to play in foreign leagues

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has started considering allowing players not selected in PSL 7 to participate in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) officials said that players who will not be selected in the Pakistan Super League 7 draft will be allowed to play in the Bangladesh Premier League.

The final drafting for PSL 7 will take place on January 7, with all teams having to select two more players to complete the 20-member squad.

A Pakistani player, speaking on condition of anonymity, told Cricket Pakistan that the players who have not been selected so far are looking forward to January 7 as they prefer PSL over any other league.

He said that if these players could not be a part of any franchise in the next bid, then after the permission of PCB, they will leave for Dhaka to play BPL.

It may be recalled that Ahmed Shehzad, Usman Khan Shinwari, Zahid Mehmood, Mohammad Irfan, Sohail Khan and Jind Khan among others were not selected by any franchise in the final drafting.

These players have offers from other foreign leagues, including the BPL, as alternatives.
