According to the police, a complaint of theft of money was lodged with the police by the manager of the accused’s company and Goyal was arrested in the case of theft. During his detention, the accused confessed that he had stolen the money to marry the girl of his choice but the girl refused to marry him. Goyal also revealed that he tried to kill himself after the incident.
Police said that when they raided the house of the accused in Harda district of Madhya Pradesh, they found burnt notes out of which Rs 46,000 was saved as they were not completely burnt. One lakh 28 thousand rupees cash was recovered.
