New Delhi: The Indian flag fell while trying to hoist in the air during the Congress flag-raising ceremony.
According to the International News Agency, on the occasion of the 137th founding day of the Congress, the party chief Sonia Gandhi tried to hoist the national flag but the Indian flag fell instead of hoisting on the pole.
After which a worker hoisted the gray flag on the ground by climbing the stairs with the help of a ladder. Important party officials including Rahul Gandhi were also present on the occasion.
The video of the incident went viral on social media to which users have given mixed reactions. Opponents of the Congress sharply criticized him, saying that those who could not carry the flag would not be able to handle the country.
On the other hand, the Congress supporters termed the incident as unfortunate and said that it was a mistake on which certificates of treason should not be issued. Who will be more Indian than Congress?
It may be recalled that three years ago, on the occasion of India’s National Day, Home Minister Amit Shah dropped the flag on the ground while trying to hoist the flag at the official flag-raising ceremony, on which he was severely defeated.
