“Close to the cruel way” Drummer Farhad pleads with police for stealing music

LAHORE: Filmmaker Chaudhry Shehzad Ali has filed a complaint with the police against renowned drummer Farhad Humayun for stealing songs.

Shehzad Ali alias Shehzad Mahiya has applied to Ghalib Market police station for stealing songs from movie bangles after 9 years. In the petition, Shehzad Ali has taken the position that the film Bangles was made in 1998, all the rights of which belong to me.

According to the request, well-known drummer Farhad Humayun has prepared fake documents regarding the ownership of the song “Neere Azalama” from the movie Chooriyan.
Shehzad Ali says that Farhad Humayun sang illegally without permission in 2011 on the basis of forged documents. While all the lyrics and music of the movie bangles were stolen.

Chaudhry Shehzad’s application to the police states that in 2013, Farhad Humayun and Rachel sang in Season 5 of Coke Studio which caused loss of millions.

They claim that Farhad has given a fake license to play songs in Cook Studios. The police are requested to register a case against those who forged documents.
