BOSTON: Although flying saucers and space creatures are interrelated, scientists at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) have now come up with the idea of a flying saucer to explore the moon.
This flying saucer will continue to hover like a shadow on a few under electrostatic repulsion like a science fiction movie. It will be able to do research there in a very smooth way. The reason is that there is no protective atmosphere on the moon and that is why the sun’s plasma and ultraviolet (UV) rays keep falling in the form of showers.
There is a positive charge on the surface of the moon which can lift a light flying saucer up to one meter. In the same way we draw paper from a solid piece of plastic and our hair stands on end.
This way the flying saucer keeps flying like a glider. The idea is that if a material called Mylar is placed under the flying saucer, it will accumulate a positive charge. In this way the positive charge of the surface of the moon and the lower surface of the flying saucer itself will repel each other and it will remain suspended in the air.
It is still thought that the gravity of the moon could bring it down again. To remove this, a positive charge emitting system would be installed inside the flying saucer which would be able to lift it. Special thrusters and nozzles will be installed for this.
A palm-shaped model weighing 60 grams was tested for its usefulness. It was hung in a vacuum chamber where a moon-like atmosphere was created. In this environment, the model remained suspended in the air, indicating the viability of the design.
