The feud of British opera singer Saira Peter’s Seraiki Sufi English song ‘Sir Di Bazi’ caused a stir on social media.

A few days ago, Saira Peter sang the Sufi song ‘Sir Di Bazi’ in English and Seraiki and presented a new fusion. Famous London artists also took part in this fusion. The young generation loved Saira Peter’s English and Seraiki fusion and the song has caused a stir on social media. Numerous youngsters, including renowned social media star Rebecca Khan, have started viralizing tick-tock videos of Saira Peter’s English and Seraiki fusion.

Talking to Express on the phone from London, British opera star Saira Peter said that the response to this folk song is very good. The young generation listens and likes music the most. I have created a fusion of head-scratching keeping in mind the preferences of the new generation. All my life I have been translating the mystical words of the Sufi saints into English and presenting them all over the world. So far, I have presented the mystical words of Shah Abdul Latif Bhattai and Bulle Shah with English translation in opera music all over the world. Sufi words and music are never old. Always feels fresh. Today, the whole world loves Sufi music.
Saira Peter also met President Arif Alvi at the Aiwan-e-Sadr in Islamabad. Famous artists from USA, China and Turkey were also present on the occasion. I was specially invited to dinner. The President of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi and the First Lady welcomed all the international artists. On this occasion, Saira Peter performed a Sufi opera without music and took everyone by surprise.

Mysticism and the voice of Saira Peter resounded in the Presidency. Praising them, President Arif Alvi said that such artists are valuable who are shining the name of their country all over the world through their art. Saira Peter told the President of Pakistan that I have made a fusion of western and eastern music and performed it in different countries of the world. He said that being the daughter of Pakistan, he sang mystical words and conveyed the message to the world that Pakistan is a country of peace and security.

Internationally renowned opera singer Saira Peter said that the future of music in Pakistan is very bright, she was fond of singing. She sang by mixing Sufi music and opera Which was greatly appreciated by the people. Saira Peter said. She is very much influenced by Noor Jahan and she intends to set up music academies in the country under his name. There is a lot of talent in the field of music in Pakistan. The present government is taking steps to promote culture.

He said that these days I am busy preparing to present the story of Omar Marvi from Sindh in London Opera. I am taking the Sufi word around the world in the form of opera. Saira Peter said that Sufi opera has been appreciated by all sections in the UK and she is sending a message of peace to the world through opera.

Opera is a classical style of singing that originated in Italy and Saira Peter is credited with initiating opera singing in Pakistan.

Saira is conveying the words of these Sufis of Pakistan to the people in a new way through her songs. She has taught people peace and love in her words. Saira Peter says that she is projecting a positive image of Pakistan all over the world and she sings in many languages. In this regard, her father and husband have always supported her.

He added that he was trained in opera singing by Paul Knight. He himself has been a student of Benjamin British who is compared to Ustad Ghulam Ali Khan in the western world. According to Saira, “I am proud to have such a teacher. With their training, my singing is gaining popularity

At the Pakistan High Commission, they are specially met on the occasion of every national day and are invited to sing the national anthem. When the famous national anthem ‘Jag Jag Jai Meera Pyaara Watan’ was sung, the children in the audience came on stage holding Pakistani flags in their hands and waving Pakistani flags in the air during Saira Peter’s performance. The London High Commission building was dedicated to Pakistaniness. Everywhere true lovers of the homeland were dancing to the national anthem.

When Saira Peter saw the green crescent flag galaxy in the air, she started singing another popular song “Hamara Parcham Yeh Pyaara Parcham”. The audience greeted her with loud applause. In the end, he performed the national anthem ‘Teri Meri Hai Pehchan Arz Watan Pakistan’ on the special order of High Commissioner London. On this occasion, he said that leaders like Quaid-e-Azam are no longer born, I sing national songs with the true spirit of patriotism. Sufi music is my passion.

He further said that the Sufis managed the cultural, civilized and cultural life of their time and the natural beauty of the environment in such a way that the map of that time seems to breathe before our eyes today. “The purpose of my singing is to send a message of peace, humanity, love and solidarity to the world,” she said.
