LAHORE: Pakistan U-19 cricket team has left for the United Arab Emirates to participate in the ACC U-19 Asia Cup. The event will be played in UAE from December 23 to 31.
India, Afghanistan and UAE are also included in Pakistan’s group in the Under-19 Asia Cup. On the first day, Pakistan will face Afghanistan. On December 25, Pakistan and India will face each other. The match is scheduled for December 27 against UAE. The semi-finals will be played on December 23 and the final will be played on December 31.
The national under-19 squad will leave for the West Indies after completing the event in Dubai. The squad will participate in the ICC Under-19 World Cup in the West Indies. The tournament will be played in the West Indies from January 14 to February 5. Qasim Akram is leading the national under-19 cricket team.
Speaking to Express News, Head Coach Ijaz Ahmed said that the team is made up of the best available players. The boys will live up to expectations by playing great.
