Telangana: A gay couple in India finally got married after eight years of dating, which was attended by their family and friends.
According to Indian media, Abhay Dange, 34, and Supreo Chakraborty, 31, got married in Hyderabad, Telangana. The gay couple’s wedding was also attended by their family and friends.
Traditional wedding rituals of Punjab and Bengal were also performed in the ceremony. The gay couple also wore rings to each other and the two had a wonderful reunion while before that there was a ceremony of mehndi, turmeric and music.
The gay couple first met on a dating app 8 years ago and have been dating ever since. Based on their strong bond, the family decided to accept the relationship between the two.
It should be noted that gay couples in India cannot register their marriage under the law while the Supreme Court has also declared homosexuality a crime in 2018.
