Cincinnati: Sometimes people need food and juice at a busy airport, but they can’t go to the store because of the distance or the queue. Now they have been introduced to automated robots called ‘Autobot’ at American airports.
According to the company, this is the world’s first robot designed specifically for airports. For food delivery, it was first tested at Cincinnati Airport, which is fast running on wheels.
You can buy food, beverages, soft drinks and other travel items from any shop in any part of the airport and the robot will take them to you. After receiving the order, the relevant human staff puts the required items in it and flows towards you.
At a crowded airport, it is equipped with laser radar to avoid obstacles and people, while it has a complete map of the static obstacles of the airport. There is also Wi-Fi signal, camera and Bluetooth system.
The app allows users to verify the robot’s presence and location. A QR code is sent to the phone after ordering. When the robot goes to the ordering user, the QR code opens the inside of the robot, allowing you to pick up the desired food or item. In the next phase, this facility will be tested at other airports.
