Wisconsin: Scientists have extracted antibody-type proteins from the shark’s immune system, dubbed VNAR. This code is expected to kill 19 viruses, their variants, and many more.
According to a study published on December 16, it cannot be used immediately, but it will be useful for future corona virus outbreaks. It can also kill the SARS quota and the WIV-1 co virus.
According to Aaron Lee Beau, a professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, the corona virus will continue to change its shape and make us tired, but shark’s VNAR protein could lead to new ways to treat it. This means that in the future, we may be able to eliminate some of the new Corona attacks.
“The corona virus will continue to attack in its disguised form, but the shark’s immune system could protect us from these future problems,” said Dr. Aaron.
Scientifically, antibodies were taken from the library for VNAR. They are about one-tenth the size of human antibodies. Then the experts noticed that the sharks clung to the infected cells and stopped their spread. Due to their small size, they can travel to other parts of the body where even human antibodies cannot reach them.
It was first revealed that the shark’s three antibodies could kill the stork covenant, which first appeared in 2003. Another VNAR is called 3B4, which binds very strongly to the spike protein of the virus.
It can also successfully destroy the measles virus, which is a distant relative of the corona virus. That’s why the Three B4 can quickly destroy the Delta species of Corona.
Another VNAR antibody to CO2 has also been discovered that can inhibit the SARS quota virus. Overall, shark antibodies can give us new protection against the coronavirus.
