KARACHI: A mother and her youngest daughter died after mysteriously falling from the third floor of a residential building in the Saima Arabin Villas area of Manghopir.
Fear spread in the area after the incident, SSP West Sahai Aziz said, adding that the woman was identified as 30-year-old Madiha and her daughter was identified as 3-year-old Iman. Is it suicide or any other case while the father of the deceased has expressed suspicion that my daughter and granddaughter were allegedly thrown down and killed by her husband.
He said there were reports that the woman allegedly threw her first daughter down from the balcony of a third-floor flat and then jumped herself, adding that it would be premature to comment immediately on the incident. A team of forensic experts is gathering evidence from the deceased’s flat while the occupants of the flat said that there was a quarrel between the couple but they are refraining from saying anything further.
The deceased’s husband Farhan Afridi is missing from the scene and his mobile phone is constantly being turned off, SHO Manghopir Liaqat said. This is said to be Farhan Afridi’s first marriage which took place 3 months ago while the youngest daughter Iman was the daughter of the third husband of the deceased. A case has been registered against him and the investigation has been handed over to the police.
