Pyongyang: North Korea has banned laughing and buying household goods for 11 days.
According to foreign media reports, on the 10th anniversary of the death of the late North Korean leader Kim Jong Il, the North Korean government declared 11 days of mourning.
People are banned from laughing, shopping and drinking alcohol during mourning. Celebrations will also be banned. Violators of these orders will be prosecuted.
Kim Jong Il died in 2011 and was succeeded by his youngest son, Kim Jong Un, who is still the leader of North Korea.
