SANGREDI: Medical personnel are trying to meet the target of 100 per cent door-to-door vaccination in the Indian state of Telangana by the end of December, but the local population is still worried.
A similar backlash from the population occurred in Sangredi district where a man climbed a tree to avoid the vaccine.
When the vaccination staff arrived at the house of a man named Ghousuddin, they ran out of the house and climbed a nearby tree. Although his family, including his father Sardar Ali, tried hard to persuade him, Ghousuddin, 33, refused.
Another incident of resistance has taken place in Sangredi itself in which the locals refused to be vaccinated and attacked the medical staff.
