Lahore: Kamran Akmal says that the reason for withdrawing from PSL is not money.
Talking at Lahore Press Club, former Pakistan cricketer Kamran Akmal said that he did not give up PSL 7 because of money. I want to play with honor and dignity for two to three more years.
Kamran Akmal said that I stand by my position that a senior player like me should not play in the silver category. All the boys including Sohail Tanveer who are playing in this category have their own decision.
He further said that in the drafting of PSL, it was regrettable that the platinum turned into gold and then silver.
Opposing the justification of age by Pakistan Cricket Board chief Rameez Raja, Kamran Akmal said that it is not right to look at this issue in terms of age. Categories are formed on the basis of performance, seniority, fitness and performance. It has nothing to do with it.
