SAN FRANCISCO: iPhone enthusiasts have probably been hearing for years that Apple is removing the notch (black rectangular part of the screen) from its iPhones, but now it’s gaining momentum with regard to the iPhone 14 Pro and Promix.
Earlier this week, a Korean publication, The Alec, said that this time it would not be part of the body of the iPhone Pro and Pro Max. However, it will remain in the cheap iPhone Pro.
It is also said that this time Apple will use a hole-punch-camera (this camera is mounted on the top edge or in the middle of the screen and does not take up any extra space).
Why is Apple doing this? The answer is simple, Apple wants to differentiate its phone from other companies’ phones. Notch is common in most of the phones that have come out so far and that’s why Apple wants to eliminate notch and have a separate identity.
