Pakistan Hockey Squad arrives in Dhaka to participate in Asian Champions Trophy. Goalkeepers Waqar and Abdullah Ishtiaq also left Karachi for Bangladesh on Saturday afternoon. Visas are expected by Sunday evening.
As soon as the visas are received, the senior goalkeepers will also leave. On timely arrival, the senior goalkeepers will be part of the national hockey squad in the event. Six teams are participating in the event under the auspices of Asian Hockey Federation. Pakistan and India are joint defense champions. Japan, Malaysia and Bangladesh are also part of the event, the event will be played round robin league style.
It should be noted that Pakistan will face Japan on December 14 while Pakistan and India will clash on December 17.
