MUMBAI: Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan has filed an application in the Mumbai High Court seeking exemption from weekly attendance.
According to NDTV report, Aryan Khan, who was released on bail in a drug case, has approached the Mumbai High Court. Aryan has filed a petition in the Mumbai High Court through his lawyer.
In the petition, Aryan has taken a stand that the office of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in South Mumbai should be exempted from attending every Friday. The drug case is now being investigated by a special investigation team in Delhi. Therefore, weekly attendance at the Mumbai office should be abolished.
Aryan Khan further said in the petition that police personnel have to be hired to attend the NCB and the media is also confronted after the appearance.
The lawyer told the media that he hoped the Mumbai High Court would hear Aryan Khan’s petition next week.
Aryan Khan is believed to be out on bail in a drug case. He was arrested by the NCB on October 3 on charges of using, buying and selling drugs. On Aryan Khan’s request, the Mumbai High Court had on October 28 ordered his release.
