Dhaka Test: Pakistan beat Bangladesh by an innings and 8 runs

In the Dhaka Test match, Pakistan defeated Bangladesh by an innings and 8 runs to make a clean sweep in the Test series.

On the fifth day, Bangladesh started the match with 76 runs for the loss of 7 wickets, then the other three players were also dismissed for 11 more runs. Thus, the hosts were bowled out for 87 in the first innings and fell victim to follow-on.

The Bengal Tigers also failed in the second innings from the start and lost four wickets for just 25 runs. However, the middle order took over the team. However, the Pakistani bowlers performed brilliantly and bowled out Bangladesh for 205 runs.
In the first innings, Pakistani bowler Sajid Khan blew the wickets of the Bangladesh team and gave away only 42 runs and dismissed 8 players. He took 4 more wickets in the second innings. Thus they took a total of 12 wickets.

Sajid Khan was named Man of the Match and Abid Ali was named Man of the Series.

Second place in the Test Championship

Pakistan won its first two matches in the ICC Test Championship, thus gaining 12 points in the Test Championship and finishing second in the ICC Test Championship.

Babar Azam

In the second innings, captain Babar Azam also took the first Test wicket of his career. He dismissed Mehdi Hassan.

Fourth day

The second match of the ongoing two-Test series between Pakistan and Bangladesh is being played in Dhaka. The match started late on the fourth day and the game started with Pakistan’s innings. Azhar Ali (56) and captain Babar Azam (76) were all out while Fawad Alam (50) and Mohammad Rizwan (53) remained unbeaten. After that Pakistan declared the first innings at 300 runs.

Bangladesh’s batting faltered at the start of the innings with seven wickets in hand for just 76 runs. Shadman Islam scored 3 runs, Mahmood Al Hassan (0), Najam Al Hassan 30, Mominul Haq (1), Mushfiqur Rahim (5), Mehdi Hassan (0) and Lytton Das scored only 6 runs.

At the end of the match on the fourth day, Bangladesh scored 76 runs for 7 wickets. Thus, Pakistan got a lead of 224 runs in the first innings.

The third day

The third day of the Dhaka Test match could not be played due to continuous rain.

Second day

The match started after lunch break due to rain and wet pitch on the second day of the game. The umpires announced the end of the second day’s play.

At the end of the second day’s play, Pakistan had scored 188 runs for the loss of 2 wickets while Azhar Ali and Babar Azam were present on the wicket.

First Day;

On the first day of the Test match, Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first against Bangladesh. The innings was started by Abid Ali and Abdullah Shafiq. He scored 161 runs for the loss of wickets.

It should be noted that in the first Test match, the national team had defeated Bangladesh by 8 wickets while in the T20 series, Pakistan has whitewashed Bangladesh.
