Abu Dhabi: More than 30 million passengers a year will be able to travel from Abu Dhabi to Dubai in just 50 minutes by modern and high-speed train in UAE.
According to the international news agency, the journey from Abu Dhabi to Dubai has been reduced to 50 minutes, while the journey to Fujairah will be completed in just 100 minutes. The number of passengers on these trains is expected to reach 36.5 million annually.
The UAE’s railway program has 50 projects under construction aimed at laying a network of tracks across the state by 2030 that will be used not only for passengers but also for freight.
The UAE Railways project is part of a series of development and economic projects aimed at maintaining trade competitiveness and economic superiority over other Gulf countries, including Saudi Arabia.
In the future, this railway track will run from Ghoifat on the Saudi border to the port of Fujairah on the east coast and will connect 11 major cities and regions of the UAE to the port.
