From time to time I try to please myself. And from time to time I get disappointed.
In the sense that I think: well, that’s what I gave a few hundred rubles for? If it was either for “three times cheaper” it was stupid to take in a fast food country-style potatoes with cheese sauce (I confess, I love) and a huge glass of coffee with ice cream? Or spend the same amount, but on a bottle of good wine + a box of your favorite sweets, and be able to do this together with a friend?
So noooo, sometimes the desire for “hello, beautiful life!” takes over. Leaving an aftertaste in the form of regrets plus sometimes mild heartburn.I decided here to eat up a part of the fee that had suddenly fallen down in a “pristine place.”
The choice fell on either a cafe or a Zest restaurant.

And since it was just business lunchtime – oh! think. Just what the doctor ordered: I will taste the cuisine, and pamper myself, and meet the adequate amount so that the toad does not choke.
I chose a business lunch: tuna salad, turkey sandwich and coffee. Do you think so, Fira?.
Yes, the place is pleasant, the chairs are comfortable, linen napkins; yes, the waiters are jumping around like this, practically “what do you want, sir?” and “which side should you put the cup on?”
But from the business lunch the impression is … uh. How could I put it so mildly: well, yes. Well kva . Well, I ate, “checked out”, so to speak. You don’t have to come again.
1. “Salad with tuna” was brought on a huge pontovo plate. At the same time, the “salad” was a portion of tuna poured onto this plate – right out of a tin can – with something crumbled in small things: half an egg, as you can see, an onion – and a bashfully lonely lettuce leaf.
It feels like I’m eating canned food from a can with a fork. Just not from a can, but from a plate.
2. “Turkey sandwich” may have been with turkey (somehow I can’t distinguish this poultry meat). And they served it also “with show-off”: on a board, on top of which is a parchment leaf (yes, who did not know – this is a special chic in Moscow now: to serve food like gypsies, on a board and on a newspaper).
But the “sandwich” in appearance, taste and other characteristics was one-to-one like triangular sandwiches for “two pieces-50 rubles” in plastic packaging, which are sold in any supermarket. Just warmed up in a toaster or something else. (And I, the stump is clear, was hoping that the “Saaandwich with a turkey” would be made by hand especially for me: they will cut bread there, meat … Right now).
3. Drink: coffee. The coffee was excellent, I won’t say anything here. The cup is beautiful, yes. Although, too, it would be possible to pour more coffee, but I’m already finding fault with it.
On the one hand, I do not argue: in Moscow, money is often taken not for taste, but for show-off and “for a place . ”
And, as the saying goes, “they bached the eyes of the kupovaly.” You shouldn’t expect from a business lunch in a restaurant-type masterpieces of haute cuisine.
But on the other hand, I somehow felt sorry for THIS 380 rubles (add 40 rubles more tip on top). Despite the fact that the cost of the “business lunch” was no more than a hundred.
And the most memorable thing is that a few days later, at work, I was at a tasting of a new menu in some places in the hotel. And there they also served tuna salad (!)
And – God, WHAT was that salad! .. It seems like the main ingredient is the same tuna. But chort take it – it is SO mixed with other ingredients, SO carefully selected herbs, SO amazingly complements its taste with dressing and “sprinkle” of caramelized onions that you will lick your fingers!
In general, heaven and earth were these two “tuna salads”.
So you think: either you continue to poke around and try dishes in restaurants that most often are not worth it, but in fact you pay for the right to sit in front of everyone in the chair – like, “yes, I’m so good, I can afford to dine in this restaurant ”- plus rent and salaries for the waiters of this restaurant; or really “score” and pamper yourself with anything, but without show – off, tested for quality. Like a bun or panini at Cinnabon, favorite potatoes at a fast food chain, etc.
