A clawed drone capable of perched on a tree branch

Stanford: Scientists have developed a robot-like object that can be attached to any drone. In this way the drone can land on an uneven place, grab objects and grab a tree branch with its claws and sit on it.

Scientists at Stanford University have developed it after being inspired by peregrine diabetes. Interestingly, its claws are printed on a 3D printer. This is how it flies, lands, carries objects, and lands on trees.

This robot is called SNAG or Snag with two motors mounted on each foot (claw). One motor rotates the foot back and forth and the other provides grip. But it was not easy to make the robot capable.

Experts have used 20 methods and one of them has been successful. Now it is so good that it can grab a tree branch in just 20 milliseconds. An accelerometer is mounted on the right claw that tells the machine how to land. While special algorithms have been developed to keep running and smooth.

The drone was then flown over rural and lush forests. He did a great job there. He caught a fake bird, picked up a tennis ball and landed on the trees. It is best used in environments where the bird drone can send us important data by monitoring temperature, humidity and other atmospheric conditions.
