Mumbai: In the first innings of the second Test match between New Zealand and India, New Zealand bowler Ijaz Patel knocked out the entire Indian team.
In the Mumbai Test, New Zealand spinner Ijaz Patel bowled out 10 players of the Indian team for 119 runs. Indian captain Virat Kohli could not even open an account and fell victim to zero Ijaz Patel.
Mumbai-born Ijaz Patel became the third bowler in the world to take 10 wickets in an innings of a Test. Before Ijaz, Jim Laker of England and Anil Kumble of India have also done this feat.
Ejaz Patel took 10 wickets for 119 runs in 47.5 overs. Ejaz also set a new record for the best performance for New Zealand.
Richard Headley had earlier taken 9 wickets for 52 runs in an innings against Australia in 1985.
