London: A recent study in the UK found that people who suffer from poor sleep often start to feel prematurely old.
It should be noted that according to experts, “standard” or “good” sleep means that when you go to bed at night, you will fall asleep in a maximum of 30 minutes, you can sleep all night (depending on your age). Accordingly) sleep well, do not disturb your sleep and if you open your eyes at night only once, no more.
Also, when you wake up in the morning and feel refreshed, it will mean that you have had a good night’s sleep.
Studies so far have clearly linked sleep disorders to various diseases of the heart, arteries and brain. Recent studies have added another concern to this list.
Many volunteers who took part in the “Protect Study”, a long-running study of aging in the UK, complained of sleep disorders as well as increased negative thinking in their minds.
With this in mind, participants in the “Protect Study” collected data on 4,482 people aged 50 and over, specifically about their sleep and emotional states, at intervals of about three years.
To this end, detailed questionnaires were used to obtain information from these individuals twice a year regarding sleep quality, duration, negative changes in memory, freshness, motivation and activities.
Analyzing the data, it was found that people who had more sleep disorders were more likely to have negative thoughts, irritability, frustration, memory impairment and other similar mental and psychological problems. The majority of such people said that they are feeling fast aging.
He said that it is natural for old age to come with age, but getting old in this way is also creating in him very unpleasant kind of thoughts.
In a study published in the latest issue of the research journal Behavioral and Sleep Medicine, experts say that this feeling of resentment exacerbates their mental and psychological problems.
Therefore, he suggests, among other things, that if attention is paid to quality sleep, many of the problems associated with aging can be prevented before they occur and make old age pleasant.
