New Delhi schools closed due to air pollution

Due to severe air pollution in New Delhi, schools will remain closed till tomorrow.

According to Indian Environment Minister Gopal Rai, the schools were reopened after air quality was predicted to improve but due to persistent air pollution, the schools will remain closed till tomorrow.

Schools in New Delhi were opened 4 days ago.
Meanwhile, the Indian Supreme Court has issued a 24-hour notice to the central and Delhi governments over inadequate measures to reduce pollution.

The apex court said that the Delhi and central governments should take steps within 24 hours to reduce air pollution caused by vehicles and factories.

During the hearing of a case related to dangerous air pollution in the Indian capital, the Indian Supreme Court reprimanded the Delhi government, saying that children between the ages of 3 and 4 are going to school but working from a big house.

The Indian Supreme Court has slammed New Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, saying “we also appoint someone else to run your government.”
