Washington: Another important position in the world of technology has been handed over to a person of Indian descent. Prague Agarwal has become the new CEO of Twitter.
According to foreign media reports, after Indians held key positions at Google, Microsoft and IBM, now the new chief executive officer (CEO) of the social networking site Twitter has also become an Indian-born Prague Agarwal.
Indian-American Prague Agrawal is the American technology executive and current chief technology officer at Twitter.
Pragya Agrawal holds a B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mumbai and a Ph.D. from Stanford University.
Indians who have served as CEOs of some of the world’s leading companies include Sunderpechai, CEO of Google, Ostia Nadella, CEO of Microsoft and Arvind Krishna, CEO of IBM.
Twitter announced yesterday that co-founder Jack Dorsey would immediately step down as CEO.
Jack Dorsey said in a statement that he decided to leave Twitter because he believed the company was ready to move forward with the help of its founders.
