According to a report released by the Turkish Medical Association, about 8,000 doctors affiliated with public health institutions have resigned in the past year and a half, with 10 percent of the doctors who resigned were dentists.
On the other hand, the head of Turkish Dental Syndicate says that last year more than one thousand dentists resigned from the public sector due to which many government clinics and hospitals had to close.
In addition, the doctors who have resigned are working outside of Turkey, a report also revealed that more than 3,000 doctors have left Turkey after finding employment abroad.
