Mumbai: Bollywood king Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan has been arrested by the NCB on drug charges.
According to Indian media, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) raided a party on a cruise ship off the coast of Mumbai on the night of October 2 and arrested ten people during the raid. Reports also say that the son of a major Bollywood actor has been arrested in the case.
An Indian channel E-Times this morning confirmed to a senior NCB official the arrest of the Bollywood actor’s son and it was revealed that Aryan Khan, the eldest son of Bollywood king Shah Rukh Khan, was arrested by NCB officials. Has been arrested on drug charges.
A senior NCB official said an investigation was underway. A source close to the investigation said that Aryan Khan has been taken for questioning and NCB officials are questioning him in connection with the Rio party on the cruise ship.
However, NCB zonal director Sameer Van Khede said that no case has been registered against Aryan Khan so far and he has not been arrested. The NCB is only questioning Aryan. The NCB has also summoned six organizers of the cruise party.
NCB sources said that Aryan Khan’s phone has been confiscated and the phone is being scanned by the authorities to check whether he is involved in drug possession or drug use.
Three girls who had arrived from Delhi to join the cruise party have also been detained and are being questioned. The three girls are the daughters of a prominent Indian businessman.
The day before, the ANI had confirmed a raid on a party on a cruise ship off the coast of Mumbai and said that the Narcotics Control Bureau had arrested at least 10 people during the raid.
