Silicon Valley: Corona introduced the word ‘work from home’ around the world, but working from home caused people the most problems because of the Internet. Some complained about the slow speed of the internet, while others feared that the data bundle would soon run out.
Lockdown has increased the use of text messages, video and voice calls on social media, especially the WhatsApp, to keep in touch with friends and relatives. As a result, the Internet data on WhatsApp has become more and more consumed, but WhatsApp has also provided a useful and effective feature to save data on voice and video calls, which perhaps few people know.
In this article we will show you how to save data during video and voice calls. However, to use this feature of WhatsApp, make sure that your WhatsApp is updated to Android version 188.8.131.52 and iOS version iOS-184.108.40.206.
1. Open the WhatsApp on your smartphone.
2. Go to Settings by clicking on the three vertical dots on the top right hand side of the app.
3. Click on the Storage and Data option.
4. Enable it by going to the “Use less data for calls” option.
Use the same procedure for iOS, but on the iPhone you can go directly to the settings from the WhatsApp home screen
